Public website
Clean pages for PNGIA’s history, constitution, executives, architecture information, membership, events, resources and contact.
The proposed new PNGIA website keeps the Institute’s public information, improves professional presentation, and adds a secure awards, judging and committee administration platform.
The new platform should not simply repair the old site. It should provide a reliable public website, membership workflow, awards submission process, judge scoring and committee oversight.
Clean pages for PNGIA’s history, constitution, executives, architecture information, membership, events, resources and contact.
Applicant submissions, Google Drive file storage, checklist validation, category eligibility notes and confirmation emails.
Committee/admin view for entries, judges, scoring progress, exports, audit logs and award administration.
Duplicated navigation and confusing login/logout state.
Spelling errors, placeholder text and outdated event pages.
Login appears present, but member workflow should be rebuilt securely.
Use this replacement to add the Awards 2026 digital workflow.
The Papua New Guinea Institute of Architects represents the views of its members and promotes the rights and standards of the architectural fraternity in Papua New Guinea.
The Institute was formed soon after Papua New Guinea’s Independence in 1975. The current site records that early Port Moresby architects formed the Institute to help defend the profession and eventually helped bring in the Architects (Registration) Act in 1989.
The objectives include advancing architecture, examining applications for membership, representing the profession, maintaining integrity and status, promoting professional standards and encouraging the study of architecture.

This section keeps the current educational content but cleans the wording, fixes headings, and presents the pathway to becoming an architect more clearly.
An architect is a qualified professional who designs and provides aesthetic and technical advice on built environments, and who is authorised or licensed to use the title “architect”.
The current site states that PNG has a School of Architecture and Building at PNG University of Technology in Lae, with a five-year degree followed by professional experience and registration through the PNG Board of Architects.
Members have responsibilities to the public interest, clients and employers, other members and the Institute, and must communicate with the public professionally and responsibly.
The new membership module should replace the generic WordPress registration page with a proper approval workflow for applicants, members and committee administrators.
Capture member type, firm, registration number, contact details, qualification and supporting documents.
Committee users review applications, request more information and approve membership status.
Members can update profile information, view certificates, receive notices and access member resources.
The current events page mainly shows older content. The replacement site should let PNGIA publish current notices without developer intervention.
The Awards module is built around controlled category selection, submission checklist validation, Google Drive storage, judge assignments and committee reporting.
Applicants create an entry, select a category, see eligibility guidance, upload required files and receive a confirmation.
Judges open assigned entries, declare conflicts, score criteria, add comments and submit final scores.
This is a working frontend prototype. Without the Worker API URL, it runs in demo mode. Once configured, the same form saves metadata to Cloudflare D1 and uploads files to Google Drive using resumable upload sessions.
This prototype uses demo role switching. Production should use real authentication and role-based access control. Uploads now use Google Drive API resumable upload sessions, not Apps Script base64 uploads.
Applicants can create submissions, continue drafts, upload missing files and view confirmation receipts.
Start or continue entryAssigned submissions, conflict checks, scoring and comments.
